About the GLLA

Mission

The Grenada Learning and Leadership Academy (GLLA), a non-profit organization, established in Grenada with a mission to promote educational, social, cultural and economic empowerment through programs, projects, and activities focused on stimulating creativity and innovation aimed at improving the quality of life of the youthful population in Grenada. 

Ojectives

  1. Help create opportunities for educational advancement of youth and young adults through entrepreneurship, innovation, formal and non-formal training, application of technology,and the creation of employment managed by young adults.
  2. Foster greater awareness in the community, and among state and regional officials, about the significance of gifted and talented youths, and to seek ways to engage the private sector, and the public, regarding the contributions our youths can make at an early age.
  3. Articulate strategies to encourage and hasten capacity development at the community, national, and international levels.
  4. Assist parents, schools and community organizations to plan and carry out creative and transformative engagement and training programs to tap the imaginative aptitudes of young people.
  5. Support initiatives to facilitate youth participation in service learning activities to gain expertise that will strengthen youth enterprises within the Grenadian community and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
  6. Work to increase exchanges among young people at the national and regional levels by supporting all avenues for learning, personal growth and leadership skills development through a process obtaining and utilizing modern technology to create and innovate at all educational levels, including early childhood, pre-primary, primary, secondary, and post-secondary and community-sponsored platforms in virtual and traditional settings.
  7. Promote commercial and creative ventures to support poverty alleviation for parents and community and as a means of building new traditions of business partnerships.
  8. Seek resources, amenities, monetary donations, and in-kind contributions to accomplish all the aforementioned purposes from public and private sources.
